Since its inception in May 2019, zingbus has been committed to reducing carbon emissions and promoting sustainable practices. As part of this commitment, we are excited to launch Zing Electric – India’s first shared intercity electric cabs, which address the growing demand for sustainable and eco-friendly transportation options in the country.
India’s No.1 bus travel partner has offered a one-of-a-kind option for consumers to book a single seat in cabs, much like a bus. This makes travel more affordable for individuals or small parties that may not want to book a full cab. Currently running on weekends to Agra & Jaipur from Gurgaon.
Today, over 15,000 passengers travel with zingbus on Agra & Jaipur routes from Delhi NCR. With the introduction of shared electric cabs – Zing Electric, these passengers can immediately neutralize 100+ Tonnes of CO2 per month by shifting to electric. This shift towards sustainable transportation not only benefits the world but also allows travellers to have a beneficial impact on the environment without sacrificing their trip experience.
Our electric shared cabs offer a convenient, safe, and cost-effective commute option for commuters travelling from Gurgaon to Agra & Gurgaon to Jaipur. By reducing emissions and lowering costs, we are not only contributing to a greener planet but also making sustainable transportation accessible to all. Electric shared cabs can significantly help in reducing carbon emissions by over 6kg per passenger on the Agra and Jaipur routes.
As part of its efforts towards sustainable mobility solutions over the next six months, zingbus has been actively studying the possibility of installing 120+ electric taxis on over 10 routes across 40+ cities. Electric taxis create fewer emissions than traditional petrol or diesel-powered cabs, making them a more environmentally friendly choice. Carbon emissions reductions can help to minimize air pollution and lessen the effects of climate change. Zing Electric cabs also offer lower running costs than traditional cabs since electricity is substantially less expensive than petrol or diesel.
The future is all about green & sustainable mobility and zingbus is set to revolutionize intercity travel in India by offering an affordable, reliable, & sustainable transit option, starting with Zing Electric. The company is dedicated to lowering carbon emissions and supporting environmentally friendly practices in the intercity travel industry. We have plans to introduce over 80 electric buses in the next 12 months across the country. These buses will be powered by clean energy.
zingbus is also working closely with NHEV and has worked closely with various stakeholders from the ecosystem, including OEMs, CPOs, financiers, and bus operators. This collaboration has helped bring the right product to the market and has enabled private bus operators to accelerate their transition to electric vehicles. We are also striving to provide high-speed public charging stations on Indian highways.
This infrastructure is critical for successful EV deployment of EVs since it reduces range anxiety and allows EVs to travel long distances. Another important part of the collaboration has been to assist private bus operators in obtaining EV finance. This has made it easier for bus companies to invest in EVs and shift to more environmentally friendly intercity transport.
We are proud to lead the way in making intercity travel safe, reliable, and affordable for all!
