This is a popular rat temple one can visit in Rajasthan. It is also known as the Nari Mata temple. This holy place is almost 600 years old and it’s located around 30 km from Bikaner. The connection that makes this temple sacred yet mysterious at the same time is the popular belief that around 25,000 rats live here and they are worshipped by the devotees too. These rats are considered holy and are known as “kabbas”. The rats eat food in the temple and the same food is served as prasad. 

Legend 1: As per the most popular legends. Laxman, the son of Karni Mata, drowned in a pond and died. Karni Mata prayed to lord Yama to save him and he reincarnated him as a rat. 

Legend 2: In a battle, 20,000 soldiers of Karni Mata deserted her. Out of anger Karni Mata punished the soldiers by turning them into rats. They stayed in the Karni Mata temple to show gratitude for not killing them and promised to serve her.

Bhangarh Fort, Rajasthan

Rameswaram, Tamil Nadu

The reason for the bike going missing still remains unknown. It was considered a miracle hence the bike back was kept at the accident spot and preserved. It is largely believed that the spirit of Om Banna protects the people passing from that spot hence now there is a small temple and the bike is also showcased there.

As the owner was building this restaurant, he decided to leave the graves untouched and made it the USP of this place. There are steel bars erected to keep the grave protected. 

There are no details mentioned about the grave and no one knows what family or religion the dead belonged to. Kutti claims that eating there is a sign of good luck as his business prospered a lot from here.

Dog Temple, Karnataka

According to the local legends the dog temple was constructed as Goddess Kempamma asked the villagers to look for the missing dogs of the village.
