What makes this year’s Independence Day special?

It is a tribute to all those people who have helped India to realize its potential and further strengthen the vision of India 2.0 which is the Atmnirbhar Bharat

This campaign under Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav has been initiated to encourage people to bring India’s national flag home and hoist it to commemorate the 75 years of India’s independence.

The Padma awardees from Uttar Pradesh will be invited to the ceremony and many cultural programs have also been planned to display the traditional, social and geographical diversity of the state

Free entry to ASI Monument

The government has decided to open to the public all monuments guarded by the Archaeological Survey of India for free from August 5 till August 15.

Launch of AzadiSAT

ISRO shall launch 75 payloads that have been designed and constructed by 750 girls students from India. The launch shall take place on August 7 and these payloads will travel with the Small Satellite Launch Vehicle, SSLV

Best places to visit to celebrate India’s Independence Day

Kargil

This particular Memorial was built by the Indian Army to honor the martyrs of the Kargil war that took place in 1999.

Delhi

Independence Day in Delhi is celebrated with great enthusiasm and this is the best place to visit around the 15th of August. Some of the best places to explore here around this time include the Red Fort, Raj Ghat, India Gate, etc.

Amritsar

Wagah border that separates India and Pakistan, organizes the Beating Retreat Ceremony that is held every day.  The events that are organized here invoke a sense of patriotism in people and enhance their respect for the mother country.

Jhansi
