Jata Shankar Caves
It is a great place for those who love history and mythology as there are many legends and stories about these caves. There is a natural Sivalingam and another structure that resembles Sheshnaag. The entrance of the cave is quite narrow and only eight people can enter at a time. There are many crevices along the path of the cave that makes the journey exciting and thrilling. Satpura National Park
This national park is home to numerous varieties of flora and fauna. To enjoy to the fullest at this park, take a jeep safari or ride on an elephant back. It is highly likely that you will spot animals like leopards, Indian bison, tigers, etc. The park is spread over an area of 202 mi.² and has a variety of trees such as Sal, Teak, Mahua, bel, etc.
Denwa River flows through the middle of the park and while you are on your jeep safari, you have to cross this river to reach the other side. It is one of the most famous places to visit in Pachmarhi and it gets its name from handi which means a pot. The shape of this gorge looks like a giant pot and therefore the name. It is a great viewpoint that provides a view of 300 feet gorge.
