Neel Kanth Mahadev

Neel kanth Mahadev

Located a bit far away from Rishikesh, Neel Kanth Mahadev is an important pilgrimage in Hinduism. It is said that lord shiva consumed the poison that came after Samudra manthan between god and demons. His throat became blue because of keeping the poison, and thus the name “Neel Kanth Mahadev” name derived. The temple Is surrounded by dense forest, three valleys, “manikoot, brahmkoot and vishnukoot”, and mountain ranges, making it the best place to spend the day.



The distance between Rishikesh and Haridwar is approx. 25 km, and it comes before entering Rishikesh.
